About Us

Hi, I’m Lisa Harries and I write Theme Park Family which is all about fun family days out. I started Theme Park family in 2015 as I hope this will give other families the opportunity to enjoy attractions with their children with honest and open reviews of places we have visited, including any accommodation and service we might use on the way.

Prior to starting this website, my hubby and I met back in 2002 through a rollercoaster club (European coaster Club) and whilst we don't go every weekend anymore we still try and visit parks as often as we can with our young daughter (born March 2013) now joining us on the adventures.

We use to run ratscoasters.co.uk which was our website full of photos and trip reports but was a lot of work to maintain.  I have now changed the name and we have this website and a facebook page.   Both sites will be used to write our trip reports and any hints and tips for the day including any pictures.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask us and we will put them on this page for people to read
How can you afford to do all these parks?
Robert and I both work full time.  Robert does an early shift and I do the night shift.  This means that RJ only goes to nursery 2 days and 2 afternoons a week minimizing our childcare costs.
