Its not very often I am left speechless but Helix left all of us speechless. It is awesome - it has so much to offer and delivers bucket loads of fun.
The queue line is very long and weaves underneath the station. Liseberg have been very clever tho as they have created a game of little challenges which you can play whilst you wait. You need to the code which is displayed on the TV's around the queue line to play. The area does have WiFi which you get access to once you download the Helix game. The TV's also display the top scorers for each round played (my highest score was 247,756). The game is very addictive and we hadn't realized whilst playing how quickly the queue line moved. The game is only available in Swedish but we managed to work most of them out as they aren't hard to understand the objective.
Helix has really good sound track which is very loud in that station. The trains look fab and offer quite a bit of freedom. As there are no over head restraints (new style lap bars) your upper body is very free and its gives you such a fabulous ride because of that.
The exit out of the station is quite a shock, even tho you know it is there and offers a fair bit of airtime at the back. From that moment one it is just pure fun - every element. The launches are fabulous so smooth and you can feel the acceleration without it being too much.
At night it is just as good. The trains look great against the dark sky with the headlights and side lights all down the train.
Helix is our new number 1 roller coaster - it is an absolute gem and we are very lucky to have it relatively close by to us. We will certainly be headed out to Liseberg again, fingers crossed next year, to ride this again.
